Stacy Wall

With a uniquely artful directing style Stacy is a DGA award winning filmmaker who welcomes and thrives on creative challenges. He’s directed countless spots in his native US and the UK; each one looking effortlessly curated but the work that he puts into the casting, the dialogue and the characterisation is what makes Stacy’s work feel so true, natural, and absolutely on the money, time and time again.
Born in Germany, Stacy moved to North Carolina during his formative years and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
After college, Stacy spent nine years at Wieden+Kennedy in Portland as copywriter and then creative director on Nike and ESPN before transitioning to directing commercials full time.
Stacy launched Imperial Woodpecker in NYC in 2009; a company dedicated to ‘Producing the last TV commercial ever made’ with an unequaled reputation with clients and industry peers as an adept and collaborative company that consistently creates engaging, hugely effective work.
Some of Stacy’s more recent projects include Uber Eats, McDonald’s, EE, Coca Cola/Premier League and Google.
