Daniela Nedovescu and Octavian Mot, collectively known as mots, are a Romanian-German artist-director duo who have been working together for over 14 years. They write, direct, and produce work across installation, film, web series, and digital media. Their hybrid practice brings together emerging technologies, crafted physical environments, narrative thinking, and participatory formats.

At the core of their work is an interest in how society and technological systems shape perception, behavior, and social experience. Using custom software, interactive design, and audiovisual media as part of their broader artistic language, they create projects that combine immersive storytelling, critical perspective, and cultural relevance.

Their work has been presented internationally and has been awarded the 2025 Lumen Prize Experiential Award, alongside Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards at the ADC Awards Germany in 2024 and 2025. Projects by mots have also been featured in Wired, Variety, CBS, Artnet, and Designboom.
