Jane Shearer studied contemporary Māori design before becoming a creative in advertising, where she garnered numerous awards including The One Show, D&AD, and Cannes Lions. While at KesselsKramer Amsterdam, this unusual combination of skills crystallized into the decision to pursue filmmaking.
Her debut short film, 'Nature’s Way', was nominated for the Cannes Film Competition, went on to win awards, and toured festivals worldwide. It was followed by additional nominated short films and, more recently, commercial work.
